Chad Eichorn

Chad has practiced estate planning and elder law since being admitted to the Iowa bar in 2013. He helps families transfer assets from one generation to the next, largely through trust-based estate planning, as economically and efficiently as possible. He also helps families concerned about the cost of assisted living and long-term care, either by planning in advance or by reorganizing finances in a crisis when no planning was done. He has represented individuals, families, charities, municipalities, and professional sports teams.

Before becoming an attorney, Chad was a minister for ten years. He still routinely gives presentations to churches and other charitable organizations, locally and nationally, on legal issues, planned giving strategies, and other organizational needs.

Chad grew up in Ames, Iowa. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Nazarene University and a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary before attending Drake University Law School, graduating in 2013. He is a certified mediator through the Academy of Dispute Resolution. Today he works primarily from Pearson Bollman Law’s West Des Moines office and is licensed to practice in Iowa.

Chad lives in the Des Moines area with his wife and two sons. They also have a goldendoodle named Penny.
